Acceptance is irrelevant. It happened a long time ago. Long enough
ago that a movie named "Gone with the Wind" was popular when my
parents were children, and it tells a tell of a culture forever gone.

One by one idiots die of old age, and no youth who holds such views
ever becomes of consequence. A long path but a certain one.

Any sort of lingering South is purely for tourism nowadays, or by
people of such inconsequence they can be laughed at with impunity
and treated as tourist entertainers.
