Agree - and it's a no-brainers. Profit motive imo is the most EVIL form of
government due to what it logically and objectively leads to. Every time!
It devalues LIFE eventually.

I'm on a computer chatting with you people. Do I even know the NAMES of my
neighbors? NO. Do they know my name or know me other than to wave hi? NO.
Heh, did they bother to see is we were awake and ready to exit stage OUT
when they knew Hurricane Charlie was coming down on US (the predictions were
all wrong)? No. And so we get up about 1 PM or so, and HOLY *** - we had
to stay here! We couldn't leave. What a sight. Trust me. In the past, be
fore high tech and cybersapce, there were neighborhoods. Not anymore.

YES! THEY ARE. The problem is the psychology of the present day - and
humanity's inability to get PAST it, as Gene Roddenberry so wonderfully
explained in his interviews and such. Profit motive is NOT a good way to
run a society. Period. Something ELSE has to be the prime motivator - like
"building society" or something.

Shows in the USA with that kind of plots - don't usually last long. They
lose ratings. I suspect that even "Dark Angel" - a show I LOVED, lost
ratings due to too much "color." And that was a SCI FI show with mutants in
it.
