The history of ideas about ourselves is a history of steps from
incomprehensibly exotic explanations to understandable ordinary ones. The
mind is still in the realm of the incomprehensibly exotic; a ghost with a
physical residence and lots of physical jobs. Mind/body is
software/hardware.
