Yes, there are some who can chant for weeks all day long straight from
memory, and they aren't repeating stuff over and over.
Some know the names and properties of hundreds if not thousands of
herbs and medicines.
Generally people who travel a lot don't like to be burdened with stacks
of books or clay tablets.
