Cambodia Travelog 2005

Howdy All, as some of you have probably gathered I will be leaving for
Cambodia on the 20th of November and will be arriving in Cambodia on
the 21st. I have many plans on this trip which involves in doing
something different in the aim of making a small difference to a few
lil kids lives.

Apart from obviously touring and visiting the country, I have plans to
visit rural schools to donate excercise books, pens and pencils. My
current luggage is packed with all sorts of small items which will be
distributed to the youths in the countryside. Varying from excercise
books, pencils, rulers, balloons, sweets, children's play sunglasses,
little toys, kites, lil school bags, tazos, glo caps and so fourth. I
know many of you will think I don't I just buy most of them when I am
over there? well with sweets you prob can't get them over there
(depending on brand and taste and stuff), with excercise books I
purchases them when they were on sale at 1-3cents each so yeh bringing
a hundred or so over, but I do plan to buy more excercise books whilst
I am there, and most of the other stuff were just left over stock from
my dad's old giftshop from 10 years back :).

Will probably also try to buy a few hundred or so marbles once I am in
Cambodia to also distribute to lil kids in the country :) :) :)

I plan to sit there and build kites and fly with the youngin's,
distribute 2 or 3 of the above items to each child I see and yeah
hopefully put a smile on at least some kids to provide them an
opportunity to be kids.

Other things I plan to do are visit remote ruins and such especially in
the Kampong Cham province, climb a palm tree, eat a tarantula (eeewww),
jump on a buffalo (I may be too big for it hahah 185cm), work the
fields (if i can stand the heat hahaha), go fishing cambo style, and
yeh obviously have a great time and a great experience.
