Hi,
I am writing a thesis and would like to set-up a survey on the web: a
website where I can ask my subjects to go, answer questions some of
which are multiple choice, and to have the answers collected. I would
like to be able to give my subjects a password to use to enter the
website or some other way of controlling who goes in and out. Many

The people to speak to are computer services at your institution -
exactly how you would set something like that up varies a little
depending on who's hosting the web site. Also, bear in mind that many
providers do not allow password-secured content unless you're paying
business rates for their HD space. If you have ethics approval and
it's already a formal part of your project I don't imagine you'll have
too much trouble with comp.services though.
Will you be compiling the survey software yourself, or are you hoping
to get your hands on a generic model?
