You may be referring to Samuel K Cohn's book, The Black Death
Transformed. ISBN 0-340-70647-3

He has 3 pages on Iceland (pp 51-53)

He argues strongly against Yersinia pestis as the cause of the Black
Death, however his arguments are not widely accepted..
