Bill,
the map DOES have Alaska on it.
It's up in the left corner.
Compare what's there not with some funny imaginative Europe but with Alaska
shown on maps made by Dutch Carthographs who had had close contact with the
Scandinavian Royalty and Nobilty in their own background and/or in the
background of the person who the NA Greenland information is said to origin
from.
You can't winn this one.
You lost the minuit you didn't look more closely on projectionforms used at
that time.
