David,
I think Inger, in common with many Europeans, has no real
concept of the size if the US, much less all of North America.
It may have seemed like a reasonable thing for her to think that
Crow Creek was within one-day striking distance of Kensington,
Minnesota. She was wrong. Now she's doing her usual dance,
whose sole purpose is to avoid admitting that she was wrong.
Oh, and the stuff found in a cave (I think it really was a rock
shelter, but never mind) by 'Twin City' (sic) was, IIRC, fresh
water pearls that are found in the Midwest. There's a whole
sorry thread about this from a year or two ago.
But as I've said, the reason to not kill file her is two-fold.
First, she occasionally raises interesting ideas (although her
follow-through, as you know, sucks). Second, it's funny
watching her flail around in her weirdness.
