Thankyou, so if the populations in between are so mixed it rules out a
direct connection between them as per Heyerdahl does it not? For
Heyerdal to be right the mtDNA signature should shout it from the
rooftops, not be so confusing as to defy interpretation.

to the exclusion of all other data? Why those two? Cranial patterning
genes do not lie in the mtDNA genome so there is only the most tenuous
linkage between the two. So there must be some other reason to look at
these two and not other data.
