Thanks for that reference Erik. Basically, Olin has not shifted her
position an inch- the parchment is from the 1400s, the ink could be
medieval, but of course as a good scientist she can't say that proves the
map to be old. It seems she still won't address the many indications that
the ink cannot have been made in the way she has been suggesting since the
1970s. Still, as the last word on the excellent

with luck she will gradually be marginalised (not that I'm any happier with
Seaver's similarly dogmatic theory about Fr. Fischer...)
