Well there you are. She wins every time because
there are secret and unique documents and maps
in Gothenburg
that exist nowhere else in the academic world.
She is excused from revealing the primary sources
because it is a drive of several hours to the
repository, depending on traffic. Not to mention
childcare and teaching obligations. I think there
is a deep disappointment and resentment that the
Nordic Vinland and Greenland colonies failed to
take root, whilst the English, French, and Spaniards
made good in the New World. I share her dismay.
