Thanks Kathrine, I just joined this site after reading your great
post.
For what it's worth, I spent much of my life in Papua New Guinea and
South Africa, and blondes and red heads are indeed fairly common in
both areas amongst dark and black skinned people. Some red hair is
due to malnutrition, but not by any means all.
I was struck by some of the pictures shown, that most who's hair is
fair have dark skin, and I'd say they were either wigs or just what
I've seen many times, people with fair hair but skin color and facial
features that were typical of the majority population.
