Those be his alrighty. However, he's mainly approached it for the use in
English, and doesn't hold a complete set of IPA symbols. However, it's got
wide spread usage, and sci.lang uses it as well.

In IPA there's a symbol looking like : used for vowel lengthening.

I think it's better not to dwell on the definitions too much. For me,
masculine, feminine and neuter, don't always seem to be logical so I just
consider them as just names to call a group of stuff.

Perhaps it's skaldic, where bits of the sentence are in an odd order to add
drama etc.
