There always is a paerson in charge of the mail server and mail
service. In the event that you wish to contact the person responsible
for the mail server or mail service you can address email to
postmaster@ ... As in Inger's case, that person may reply to your
original email.

When you wrote ' Normally, a "postmaster" is a service
running on a server' it may be that you were thinking of the mailer
'daemon'.
