Doug:
I've seens a reference to an French translation of
volumes 4-6 (pp. 557-964) of his Diary
("Resejournal över resan till Norra Amerika", or
"Renskrivna Dagbok från Resan till America".

Other references to his works
(including his Travels, "Resa till Norra Amerika")
mention 1, 2, 3, or 4 volumes.

His "Resa", though, seems to have been published in
no more than 3 volumes, so I suppose that
the reference is in the Diary.
I have access to the Diary in English and French translations,
as well as the original, so if I can get a Chapter Title
or an original page number, I can find it.
But I'm not going to read through hundreds of pages of
microfilm copy to find it without a more specific reference.
