Try as I may I honestly cannot think of anything but
a boat that can be built with an axe (to fell a tree),
a wedge (to split it), another axe (to make planks)
and a awl (to bore holes). Say, a floorboard for
instance, or an old-style kitchen table, or even
a dining table. Those things were not made of planks
held together by dowels inserted in holes, and their planks
(if they had been made of planks) might be made of wood,
but not wood that comes from trees. So, clearly, those
tools can only be used to make boats. Not only just
boats, but, specifically, _Northern_ clinker boats.
