It was very very easy to find. Yes, there are Indians in India, but we
know you didn't mean them, so why the 'here'?. And how was anyone to know
that by 'here' you meant 'there'?

Eh? Where'd you get that idea? The Church, with a couple of early
exceptions (not St. Augustine, who accepted a spherical earth, for
instance), and the Universities (all Church run medieval times) taught
that the earth was a sphere. Galileo and Copernicus certainly agreed with
this!
