If you wish to speak of Indians in South America and you yourself are not in
South America, you would say "Indians there (South America).
The phrase Indians here (South America) is absolutely a statement that you
are in South America. Even the most remarkable levels of stupidity do not
qualify you to interpret it otherwise.
