Bulgarians

The % of HLA haplotypes in bulgarians derived from eatern
turkic peoples is below 5%, even in turkey it is below 10%
probably around 6 or 7%. The turks were administrators, the
hords moved on once they conquered, some of them ended up as
far as morocco and spain. Bulgarians have alot of similarity
with greek, italian, austrian and anatolians.
Slavic is probably not to far different from the language
originally spoken in the region (give or take alot of norse
input). At one time I believe the scythians lived in the
region and some pundet claims that slavic evolved from the old
tongue mixed with celtic and old norse. Peter probably has a
grand explanation why that theory is arse-wrong . . . .
