You know, I haven't been paying much attention to this particular bit of
the thread -- I thought it was a joke. Did she really think that by using
the word rudimentary I was calling her rude?

I shouldn't be surprised, I think she often misunderstands what other
people have written (as in my case not just with rudimentary but the whole
sailing thing).
