David, hadn't it been good had you learnt where the word troll and trolley came from back in old days? You haven't of course. Att 'trolla' = To Trolley cames from the days way back when Goths, Vikings and alike from different groups in the Old World used ropes and other things when transporting a ship or a boat over land. But the word 'Troll' /'Trull' is much older. It's one of the 'fornsvenska' as well as 'fornnordic' words.
Inger, Fornsvenska, fornnordic? Try forndutch for a change.
*Trol* [demon] {1837} <*oudnoors* /troll/ [monster, demon] (vgl. troel)
/trolley/
(rollen), dus: iets dat rolt*Trollius* [plantengeslacht] {1778} <*modern lat*. /trollius/,
afgeleid van *trol*
