The post I responded to suggested the 'Knights Templar' were an organisation
in hiatus. http://www.knightstemplar.org/. The quoted site proves this to be
incorrect. also of note:
"They organize fund-raising activities such as breakfasts, dinners, dances,
and flea markets. They support Masonic-related youth groups and they raise
millions of dollars for medical research and educational assistance"
Certainly unlike the 'Order of the Knights of Christ' which at least
continued carving up a few Saracens during 'flea markets'.
However I find the analogy with a reborn construction business a poor one.
Even having some of the same assets and possibly people is insufficient.
Control in the reborn business is essentially the same as the succeeded one,
the shareholders and or board common beneficiaries. If not it is simply a
new business.
The analogy clashes with the Templars in that the company constitution
changed (the Papal Bull), the Board literally torched, a question mark on
whether any personnel were indeed retained and control, in the case of the
Portuguese
order, progressively shifted to the Portuguese Monarch.

Sounds much more akin to a corporate raid and asset strip, a-la Gordon
Gecko.
