Thanks to everybody. I will start my search in a moment. I had some
chapters from 'A Pompeian Herbal' but I supose that I will have to
look for more, perhaps 'The Natural HIstory of Pompeii'.
About the question about "De Re Rustica" I knew about the one written
by Lucius Iunius Moderatus Columela (S I BC) because he was spanish
and could be more accurate regarding the sites where I am working (in
Spain). The one by Plinius the Elder has been a nice surprise to me.
I am a biologist and classical texts sometimes result a bit hard to
me. About Fishbourne I have not found the references yet but iam on
it.
Thanks again.
Fishbourne:
"" The formal garden has been replanted to its
original plan, and although no plant remains were
found to show which actual plant varieties were
grown in the garden, classical references have
been used to suggest what might have been
planted. ""
