Erik H once again demonstrates that he is incapable of presenting
full case. The house here described as Thule culture houses are among
those during last three years discussed if they belonged to the Thule
culture or if the Thule culture moved in after the houses were made.
That's a very interesting scenario due to those planks
because there
is one artifact found which rarely is mentioned, might be because
that would give present Canada's claim on Danish islands away as a
false claim don't know, but a piece of what seems to be part of a
carpenter's plane.... typical Norse one. Same as found in Staraja
Ladoga btw.....and on Gotland.

As usual I did my homework and present
the results:

STARAYA/STARAJA LADOGA
All I could find was a hoard with blacksmith's
tools now in the Hermitage, and only on an
unexpected Dutch site. http://tinyurl.com/bsfvd
I think it is a scan from page 191 in:
  James Graham-Campbell (ed.)
/Cultural Atlas of the Viking World/
  Andromeda, New York 1994

OTHER
¤ Iron Viking tools for agriculture and woodworking

Inger, please tell us where in this collections your Norse/Staraja Ladogan/Gotlandic planes are, or else tell us where we can find them. And give us a usefull reference to the Thule plane. Present the full case.
