Ran across references to these two place names recently. Googling for
Catal Huyuk yields references to a site about 8000 years old. For Catal
Hutuk, I get references to a single book about weaponry, but nothing
further.

I was given to understand that Catal Hutuk is about 14000 years old, is
a military site with evidence of weaponry (maces, etc).

Both appear to be in what is now Turkey, both are said to be
prehistoric, ie, no written record. The former is said to appear to
represent some civilization, though for the latter, it's unclear.

Can anyone enlighten me in this matter, or point me to information other
than the cited book on Catal Hutuk?

Thanks,

My guess is that this has a lot to do with the placement of the "T" and "Y" keys on a standard English keyboard.

Plus translation Turkish? Hittite? (English as she is spoken).. Just been reading up on this, two books, one shows the ancient city as being near the Halys, another shows it half way to the Mediterrean coast.
