Sorry to be so long in replying.
It appears you may be correct. I had the mistaken impression that Catal
Hutuk was so spelled in a book called "The Soul of the Sword", but on
close look, it appears that it was spelled that way in a review of the
book. I've no idea whether the book spells it that way as well.
I was given to understand that the same spelling was used in a book
called "The History of God", and that it dated back over 14000 years.
I've since had reason to drop my interest in the matter, but it was
interesting to find Google citing this thread when I came back for
another look ;).
Goes to show how mistakes can propagate into apparently legitimate
issues!
