Here is part of what telia abuse has told me once. The query
was if (as Inger E claimed) Telia had any information
regarding my name or or email-adress stored.

Hej igen!

Vad jag kan se är du kund hos Comhem, vilket innebär att vi inte har
någonting på dig över huvud taget. Om någon skulle vilja anmäla något
gällande dig, måste det skickas till abusegruppen på Comhem för att det ska
bli ett ärenden av det till att börja med. Om ett klagomål gällande dig
skulle skickas till _Telias_ abusegrupp hamnar det via automatisk sortering
i det stora runda arkivet (papperskorgen).

ALLA internetoperatörer tar bara emot klagomål gällande _sina_ kunders
förehavanden på nätet. Ingen operatör kan spåra någon annan operatörs
kunder. En uppslagning av en IP-adress ger bara information om hos vem
vederbörande är kund, inget annat. Såvida det inte handlar om ett stort
företag, en kommun eller liknande som köper en fast access mot Internet av
en operatör, då går det vid uppslagningen av IP-adressen att se vad
företaget/kommunen heter.

Om du vill veta om det finns ärenden gällande dig, bör du vända dig till
abusegruppen på Comhem.

A query of IP-adress will only reveal the ISP of a customer
unless it's a company or someone having a static IP, then
it is possible to get a name.

So whatever Inger E say, you are absolutely right when
you say that it is not easy to track an individual computer.
But it can be done, and has been done several times but
it need cooperation between suppliers and network owners.
And in many countries a court order.

consider your word and ask yourself if it is her choise and if you
would have choosen it for your children.
