Bring the picture up to large size. Even though it is blurry, and at an
odd angle (especially for the upper left corner of the stone) the lower
punch mark is clearly visible - more visible than the "cross" inside
the circle of the O adjacent to it.
Better yet, take a look at the photo in the book which is in focus.
Or take a look here: http://tinyurl.com/ad85p scroll down and use the
oblique megazoom on writing. You will certainly be able to see the
seperator there, though not as deep as some of the other word
seperators. However, they are about as visible as some of the
"umlauts" for want of a better word.
