No, that's not a view, that's what the archaeology shows.

I don't know what you mean by this. Humans have been building dolmens for
7000 years -- up to modern times (20th century in Malagasy). Rocks are
very useful.

Stick with the archaeology, at least that's real. Trying to understand
ancient symbolism leads in too many possible directions, and in any case,
this is an archaeology newsgroup.
