My Ingerish is poor. Does the above translate to "Mere mortals in the
Bogs
of Eire deified in hallowed Sviddish turf" or
is it "Gods from somewhere near modern Sweden (but not 'in' there)
descend
to the mortal realm to drag the Irish bog dwellers out of the stone
age."?

I would say 'neither'.

I tend to agree myself. It's plain English I wrote above. To my knowledge
it's never been proven where the megalith culture from European coast are
south of England up to Scandinavia's North Sea coast of the time started.

Inger,

I will not allow Seppo's libel be spread. He has quite a history of
the most foul racial abuse abuse, and I consider his gender allusions in
this post quite shocking.

In relation to the Tuatha d Danaan: So if they didn't originate in
Scandinavea is there much to say they paid a visit (more than, say, what was
it, Tanum)? I am very much a beginner on this subject having my childhood
mythology shattered by the hostility of naysayers.

Surely, those faeries stealing babies were really imaginary and a way of
ensuring the child slave labour continued to muck out the praeties.
