You know Tom, if Inger was having any success at what she
claimed she might actually know what she is talking about,
right.

All the institute does when they think something is going on
illegally is to block an IP, it happens all the time, they
have a computer connected to the routers and they simply shut
down a connection. My IP has never been blocked, but if you
should note my IP is not from a educational institute, has not
been for quite some time.

I'm not saying there is any causal connection but I have long
wondered whether or not it was entirely coincidence that you
stopped posting from your 'educational institute' at about the
last time that Inger was making such a fuss about you.

Going back through my archives I find that the last post from
your 'educational institute' was 15 May 2004.

Do better research.

One of your usual assertions with never a hope of supporting evidence.

Apart from that, I was telling you what was in my archives. It's much
easier for me to search Agent files than Google.

For a long time
after that you appeared to have used a number of hosts,
including one with a dynamically allocated IP address. Since 17
Dec 2005, under the ID of 'prd' you have been using a host with
the the fixed IP address of 12.73.57.218 although you continued
using Philip Dietiker on the same IP address until 15 Feb 2006.

Silliness. Anyone can post from google or other services. My
principle for UseNet is that I use a filter so I don't have to read
the [endless] garbage of some people. The new system does not allow
us to recieve email or news without using an online version of
microsoft outlook. No ability to filter mail or news.
For those out there who work at these types of institutes you are
probably aware they are trying to streamline their IT systems, for
instance we started out with people having one protocol name and
password, one authentification name and ID, one email name and
password and potentially one UseNet name. Thats all gone, one name
and password controls everything, the drawback is that they 'changed
everything' as in 'everything'. This process started in october for
aspects of the college and continued until february.
If I struggle with the system for 2 or 3 hours (about the average
length of time it take to compose and send an email now) I can post a
message, will that make you happy Eric.
We were a non- outlook using group suddenly forced to do everything
with microsoft outlook. I think outlook is nothing more than a virus
and spam target, but. . . .

You have my sympathies over the compulsory use of Outlook.

It looks suspiciously as though while you might not have been
blocked from all Internet access some higher power has stopped
you from bombarding the news groups with your views from your
place of employment.

What struck me from the beginning was that Philip's 'mood' changed
together with is ID.

I'm happier? Tired of people trying to flood my accounts with junk?
How about this, you guys might try it instead of bugging the rest of
the world. I get to work outside for 6 hours a day, in the fresh air,
sun, breezes.
