You know Tom, if Inger was having any success at what she claimed
she might actually know what she is talking about, right.
All the institute does when they think something is going on
illegally is to block an IP, it happens all the time, they have a
computer connected to the routers and they simply shut down a
connection. My IP has never been blocked, but if you should note my
IP is not from a educational institute, has not been for quite some
time.
I'm not saying there is any causal connection but I have long wondered
whether or not it was entirely coincidence that you stopped posting
from your 'educational institute' at about the last time that Inger
was making such a fuss about you.
Going back through my archives I find that the last post from your
'educational institute' was 15 May 2004. For a long time after that
you appeared to have used a number of hosts, including one with a
dynamically allocated IP address. Since 17 Dec 2005, under the ID of
'prd' you have been using a host with the the fixed IP address of
12.73.57.218 although you continued using Philip Dietiker on the same
IP address until 15 Feb 2006.
It looks suspiciously as though while you might not have been blocked
from all Internet access some higher power has stopped you from
bombarding the news groups with your views from your place of
employment.
How is it possible you think for them to block my posting to
the UseNet when I don't use their ISP to post? Oh well, since I have
tried to elevate the mdm in many regards and have failed, I let her
go on, but to be frank, sending complaints to a institutions IT-
security people who currently don't have a usable NNTP server
(because of changes being made to the NNTP-SMTP) system will go a
long way to proving at least one point. Unfortunately our psi dept
has very little control over the 'men in white' over in Sweden.
[Hint: Since I did not post from that ISP I was no longer required
to use my given name, as per the switch to initials corresponds to
the last post from ISP. From before 1987 to last years we used the
same NNTP and SMTP system, both were archaic. Last year (thats right,
_Last Year_ they decided to go with a microsoft outlook based mail
and news server) Eudora, XNEWS and other third party readers are no
longer supported. Since I cannot filter out the mdm and other
fruitloop crap I don't use their NNTP server same goes for google,
which I could also use from the inst ISP, and since I don't use their
server I don't also need to use my given name. Some people are just
slow to figure things out. Oh and if you intend to send email to me
and you are using the pdeitik At bcm dot tmc dot edu address, it does
not exist anymore, so keep on sending :^). I have in fact provided in
the headers the only valid address which I can be reached at by
email, there is no secrecy or hiding, etc., just some pretty dumb
people trying to fish out complaints against their critics]
Aside from this, you don't need to 'egg' Inger on, its one thing
that we have to deal with her nonsense but innocent third parties
should not have to waste time with her false claims. We are here by
choice. She clearly does not understand IP, ISPs and the like and
they are clearly dropping her complaints as soon as they get them
(after a good laugh I have heard), since I have only recieved one
incoherant complaint so that I clarified the incident for them so at
least they could understand the complaint. No others have been
brought to my attention from them or AT&T (IOW they are being
dumped). One of Inger's principle problems is that if you live in a
glass house, you shouldn't throw stones. Inger's presence here is
marked by years and years of abusive behavior, as a result a small
amount of investigation reveals that she asks for an recieves
retaliatory abuse, this is what everyone understands as the UseNet.
Since I have her in my kill-file and never respond to her directly
she fails to connect me with her counter abusers. Therefore her
claims of stalking would be something I could take issue with her
ISP, since they are clearly libel. But alas she won't mention names.
The best solution for the mdm is to austracize her. If everyone did
so her OT complaints and abuse would go unattended and she would
learn to stop this type of thing.
university account. That wouldn't surprise me, they are often timid about
such things.
