The "Oceano Septentrionalis" on that map,
west of "Tierra del Laborador", is
not connected to either the Atlantic or Pacific
Ocean.
There is not Hudson Strait, no channels
through a Canadian Arctic Archipelago,
no Nares Strait on the west side of
"Gronlandia", no Denmark Strait or Norwegian
Sea (and no Iceland between them), and no
Bering Strait, so no sailors could have
sailed in the "Oceano Septentrionalis".
It is surrounded by a continuous body of land.
There is no access to it by ships, so that
cartography was not based on reports from
sailors, [snip etc.]

Well cartographed indeed.
Surely it must be clear that there's no
benefit to be had in discussing old maps,
on an ARCHAEOLOGY newsgroup, with
someone who understands neither maps
nor archaeology.
Please don't feed the troll.
