A while ago, there was a short thread on dyslexia on this group. From
what I understand of dyslexia, the written word on a page to
non-dyslexics is stationary and one would read it in the order with
which it is written.
For information to everyone but the non-knowing person who written that -
the problem for a dyslextic person is always of two kinds. Words pronounced
alike can be placed in each others position and a dyslextic person wouldn't
observe that, a dyslextic person also have spelling problems. many times
when for that person specifically 'difficult' combinations of letters occurs
in a word.
What hardly never is the case is that this has anything to do with EQ. Most
dyslextic persons have normal or high EQ but when the later is the case most
non-dyslextic persons have hard following the theories presented by the
dyslextic person. This can be due to two main reasons. In order not to use
words that the dyslextic person has problem writing(or speaking) the person
have to use more words to describe same thing as the non-dyslextic person
only need a minimum of words writing(or speaking).
The other reason is obvious. Persons with higher EQ have a skill, maybe to
compensate for the spelling problems, and that is that they are capable of
holding more 'bolls in the air' and thus drawing conclusions without having
to go via A + B + C.
What the person '##minty' also missed is that those of the dyslextic persons
who have reading problems, which definitely not most have but of course
those without that combination aren't as interesting studying objects for
science :-), have lesser problems if the text that they are to read are
written on yellow or slightly light blue paper.
