And he's got support from the Cayce foundation's Bill Donato!
If these are anchors it is not clear what they are doing at the locations
mentioned. Those are miles north (10?) of Tampa Bay. Why anchor there instead of
in the bay? If a place has a lot of seafaring visitors people have always used
bays and harbors. There is no reason not to do so.
Then there is the problem of finding them inland. If you want a time when
Florida was covered with water it was definitely not in historical times most
likely before the last ice age cycle started.
Rather than jumping to the anchor description I would like to know if rocks
with holes in them have been found elsewhere with other uses. (Maybe we can
invent a better mystery if they all point to the vernal equinox or to each other.)
How "advanced" could these people be if they used stone anchors? Remember the
"advanced" culture of Atlantis invaded Greece and was repelled by stone age Greeks.
In most places the Florida coast is a shallow slope passed the shore. This is
perfect for beaching a boat rather than anchoring it. This is not true of Tampa
Bay which is a deep water port and anchors would be needed but that is not where
these are found.

Range Theory
"Scientists know that gophers are found only in the Western Hemisphere.
Gopher tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus), the eldest known species of
Gopherus, is native only to the Southeastern United States. Southern
live oak (Quercus virginiana), the strongest shipbuilding wood on
Earth, is also native only to the Southeastern United States. The
oldest commissioned ship still afloat in the world, "Old Ironsides", is
made of Southern live oak from these eldest gophers' woods (forests).
Ancient stone anchors, similar to 5,000 year old anchors found at
Bimini and in the Middle East, commonly occur along the Gulf Coast of
the United States."
