Short answer: They arrived anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 years ago, from
either Asia, Australia or Europe...or possibly Africa...

...it's complicated.

Generally accepted answer at the moment is that they arrived roughly
12,000-15,000 years ago from North East Asia, but this answer is far from
settled. I'm sure others in this group will show you just how _un_settled
it is.
