MACTEC is interested in hiring the following professionals:

Senior Archaeologist

MACTEC is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to be based in its Knoxville,
Tennessee office. This is a full-time salaried position. Duties will
include coordination and supervision of multiple concurrent projects in
the eastern United States. This person work under the supervision of
the Project Principal Archaeologist and will work closely with the
Field Directors. The successful candidate must possess a Master's
degree or Ph.D. in Anthropology or Archaeology and be a member or be
eligible to become a member of the Register of Professional
Archaeologists. This position requires a minimum of five years of
experience in the cultural resources management field and a
demonstrated ability to successfully complete field work, laboratory
tasks and reports while maintaining a schedule, budget and the quality
of the work. Supervisory experience and a willingness to travel are
required. Experience in preparing budgets and planning projects is
preferred. A writing sample must be submitted with the resume along
with at least three professional references.


Project Archaeologist

MACTEC is seeking a Project Archaeologist to be based in its Knoxville,
Tennessee office. This is a full-time salaried position. Duties will
include the direction and coordination of archaeological projects in
the eastern United States, to include field and laboratory tasks as
well as report preparation. This person will work under the
supervision of the Senior Archaeologist and the Project Principal
Archaeologist. The successful candidate must possess a Master's
degree or Ph.D. in Anthropology or Archaeology and be a member or be
eligible to become a member of the Register of Professional
Archaeologists. This position requires a minimum of three years of

- Additional duties will include assisting with artifact classification
and curation in MACTEC's Knoxville facilities
Job Requirements:
- Four years Archaeology degree,
- 1+ years experience in archaeological field investigations,
- Must pass drug test, background check, and pre-employment physical.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and must have a valid driver's
license in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
- Willing to work outside for long assignments
