Re: Vinland On Map From 1480

Quick answer.
Had you seen todays ViaSat History at 10.00 Swedish time, you would have
known that there are much more substance found and documented by
archaeologists than the cross I mentioned. More Later.

Who by? Sources please. The evidence for the origin of
Glastonbury is doubtful by the way, it comes from Glastonbury,
not independent sources.

Now for Annals. Arthur is mentioned in almost all Annals from
the Icelandic to the Russian ones.

Dates Inger please. Surviving Icelandic and Russian Annals do
not count as contemporary sources and you have not given an
identifiable source anyway.

Continuing backwards - Under thread re Arthur from 1996-2000
AD we discussed the Eastern Tablets.

Eastern or Easter?

not known by so many in the version edited as late as early
Modern Age from 11th century documents, there seem
to have been gained via monestries in France and Ireland.
More later.

Anything dated later than Geoffrey of Monmonth is likely to be
worthless. 11th century documents are hardly contemporary by the
way. All they can support is a legend that existed then. If
Arthur existed he was between the Roman withdrawal from Britain
and the Anglo-Saxon take over, say 400 to 500 AD.
