ALSF Seabed Prehistory
Seabed Prehistory is a project being undertaken by
Wessex Archaeology. The project applies geophysical
and geotechnical survey methods to seabed deposits of
prehistoric interest. The project focuses on developing
and refining current aggregate industry survey methods
and seeks to demonstrate the scope for assessing
buried prehistoric material using geoarchaeological
techniques. The project is also developing methods for
reconstructing past landsurfaces and environments.
