No. You did not read carefully the paper. It's much more than the
mineral ratio. The binder can't be natural. See arguments in

Can you send me a link that works please!
I'd like to see that.

You should use a newsreader.

Barsoum got strong evidence that the binder is not natural:

- The chemistry occured in a basic media as shown by the presence of
sub-micron silicon-rich spheres in some of the samples. It fits to
putative chemistry proposed by Davidovits.

- The chemistry was so fast that it did not allow crystal growth of
silicate as it happen in natural formation.

- Si is in solid solution in dolomites or calcite which implies that it
was precipitating at the same time as the other cation.

- Hydrated calcite/dolomites are observed in the grain boundary. It
never happens in natural stones.

- There is a lot of S in the sample while there is none in the local
natural stones. It had to be added.

- Unexplained presence of Barite

Personally I feel Barsoum is trying to "big-up" the Egyptians.

What would be his agenda?

Err.... Is he Egyptian??

Ah, american, egyptian origin. You made your point.
