In fact, you have done far more than many here would require of
you.

Indeed. I think he has completed, even exceeded, his mission

retire knowing that he could do no more.

It amounts to the fact that none of you are capable of accurately
reflecting recent history never mind that of older civilisations
and
turn what way you will,it does not get intellectually lower or
worse
than that. You have the remarkable story of Longitude and how
clocks
resolved them before you yet you adhere to a celestial sphere
concept
which draws the wrong conclusions for the Earth's motions to the
Sun,specifically the pandemic institutional failure wrapped uop in
a
single value -

http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1999/JennyChen.shtml

I see that your crowd are about to force the fictitious Da Vinci
code
into existence just as the mathematical theorists forced Well's
1898
'Time Machine" into existence through the 1905 'relativity'
cartonn
concept but then again it does reflect this silly era where there
is
no dignity or respect for ourselves let alone those of different
eras.

I could do no more here because a group of people who argue that a
location rotates to noon in exactly 24 hours, and you most
certainly
do,cannot possibly move on to more complex topics .At least you
know
now that your words and actions are counter-productive and
pretensious and while mocking our ancestors and the gorgeous
systems
they left, the joy of seeing how the actual systems were devised
mocks
you right back and I cannot think of any greater insult than that.

The anti-intutive empirical agenda designed by and for
mathematicians
takes advantage of the intricate working principles of astronomy
and
twists them in vacuous wordplays with no substantial content, doing
what they do best, the more proficient can draw any conclusion they
like by creating what history they want. This is what happened with
the
relationship between clocks, axial rotation and terrestrial
longitudes,a system which begins with a human devised principle of
the
equable 24 hour day and then evolves to the practicalities of
axial
rotation and Longitude determination as a consequence of the
Copernican discoveries.

You lot had the intutive intelligence beaten out of you, everyone
does
which is why it is nearly impossible to get anyone to affirm the
basic
principle of the 24 hour/360 degree equivalency. It is that
intelligence which is missing today, that rare intelligence which
courses its way through all the great creative actions and
discoveries
of man.

For the French guy who responded, here are the words of Blaise
Pascal
who expresses the neccessary balance which is now lost to the
anti-
intutive empirical agenda -

". The difference between the mathematical and the intuitive
mind.- In the one, the principles are palpable, but removed from
ordinary use; so that for want of habit it is difficult to turn
one's mind in that direction: but if one turns it thither ever so
little, one sees the principles fully, and one must have a quite
inaccurate mind who reasons wrongly from principles so plain that
it
is almost impossible they should escape notice.

But in the intuitive mind the principles are found in common
use
and are before the eyes of everybody. One has only to look, and no
effort is necessary; it is only a question of good eyesight, but
it
must be good, for the principles are so subtle and so numerous
that it
is almost impossible but that some escape notice. Now the omission
of one principle leads to error; thus one must have very clear
sight
to see all the principles and, in the next place, an accurate mind
not
to draw false deductions from known principles."

Once a person appreciates the two step process where the 24 hour
day
was created through the noon correction based on variations in the
natural daily cycle and how that average was transfered to the
principle that axial rotation can be considered constant at 15
degrees
per hour making 24 hours/360 degrees, they will feel repulsed by
the
phony correlation which emerged in the late 17th century.

I counted roughly 24 fully-splayed hand-widths held at
fully-extended
arms
distance to one complete revolution ie one circle.
Therefore the splay of one finger to the next approximates 12
minutes of
arc.

It has been said that we are immigrants from the past, our existence
being conditioneed by those before us and for right or for wrong, for
good and for bad,it is our responsibility to represent the lives of
these people in the most dignified manner possible.

No doubt there is a lot of effort going into picking through artifacts
to reconstruct the conditions which these human beings lived their
lives and how they shaped events that followed however the great
timekeeping tradition ,representing the evolving efforts of many
civilisations over long periods is now neglected and vandalised even
as you will still use them today and for the rest of your existence.

If archaeologists cannot be trusted to represent recent history, and
the history of how clocks keep in sync is well known through the
Longitude story, how do they expect people to believe them in other
matters of more ancient history ?.

I have seen archaeologists, who must have come across sundials and
other methods of determining the daily cycle, turn away from the
incredible achievement which creates the equable 24 hour cycle from
the natural variations in the daily cycle and then the heliocentric
adaption which keeps clocks in sync with axial rotation at precisely
24 hours/360 degrees and adopt a phony correlation of 23 hours 56
minutes 04 seconds/360 degrees.

Do not do the great men who built the timekeeping systems any favors
by trying to comment on them even as you use their creations and be
thrilled that you can congratulate yourself that you can say anything
and draw any conclusion you want without objection. The luxury of
indiscipline makes history wither into fiction and that is not and
never can be archaeology.

So how many of your fully-splayed hand-widths held at fully-extended
arms
distance do you count to a complete circle?- Hide quoted text -

You can't even comment on recent history surrounding the timekeeping
systems right so you are hardly good enough to rise to the geometers
of antiquity.

The angle of inclination of the Great Pyramid,51 degrees 50 minutes is
a specific value that contains a vast amount of information by virtue
of being a compromise value for two different proportions. You have
little feel for geometry, terrestrial or astronomical and it shows up
in the way you dither aound and try to substitute substance with silly
trivia.

You could not even support the value which keeps clocks in sync with
axial rotation at precisely 24 hours/360 degrees even though the
Longitude story is well known therefore I have no regard for what you
think ,what you do or what you conclude for those who stand by an act
of vandalism would not dare approach the careful and brilliant work of
our ancestors.

Ohhhhh!- Hide quoted text -

The removal of the casing stones of the Great Pyramid is second only
to the vandalism that has temporarily destroyed the great Western
astronomical tradition. The careful work of many people and
civilisations ,when left in the charge of careless people always turns
into some mess and looking what you are doing now is no different to
what happened in the Mid 14th century Eygpt.

The great civilisations appear to have allowed for a certain authority
to exist in order to express its accomplishments but other eras have
produced men who manage to undo and wreck these accomplishments even
as they thought they were doing everyone a favor.

You will indeed carry on as if nothing has happened and make up
whatever stories that suit whatever conclusions you wish but
ultimately none of you have attempted to rise to the level of those
great men and the civilisations, however imperfect, that give rise to
the highest faculties of humanity.
