What do we know about the environment of Mehrgarh? It appears to
have been in continuous use for several thousand years, which
suggests that something about its location allowed the land to be
used with some intensity without having it worn out.
There was a food production explosion in northwest India, immediately
after "the retreat of the last great continental glaciers" (Possehl).
<sigh> Direct quotations, including context, *and* the correct,
detailed references, please. This does me no good at all.

Pennsylvania Press, 1999
My advice is for you to do yourself good by obtaining both the Possehl
book and the
Han*** book (Chapter 8) for close study.
I want to clarify something here. Have you yourself gotten and
read Possehl's book, _Indus Age: The Beginnings_; or are you
relying on quotations from his book in Han*** at this point?

Very recently, I explained this point to Peter in the "pre-Flood
cities" thread.

I never read _Indus Age: The Beginnings_; I relied on Han***
throughout.

Thank you for a straight answer. A bit late to the party, but now that you've come, perhaps there is some hope for this thread.

OTOH, last night I read _The Indus Civilization A Contemporary
Perspective_
on Mehrgarh, Rao, Jarrige, Kenoyer. etc.

I await your first post using a primary source.
