i made the mistake of signing up for gmail so that I might see that

i never saw an image, and now my google account is all buggered up and
nothing works the same anymore and I have problems reading newsgroups
that i have never, ever encountered before.

Apologies.
I can't understand the problem. I use GMail and don't have similar
problems. I occasionally read Gmail support groups and don'tg recall the
newsgroups problem.
