What is the most interesting excavation you have worked on?

For my part it was the ongoing Durrington Walls project. My part over a
couple of seasons was to work on the geophysical survey and we had the good
fortune to help discover some of the earliest known house floors in England.
As far as the popular press are concerned we discovered the houses of the
"builders of Stonehenge".

Probably Piddington Roman Villa in Northamptonshire, not that I was there
when they found it, but they found the skeleton of an apparently murdered
woman in an oven. It's also an interesting dig as it is entirely run by
the local archaeological society, not by professionals, although it is of
professional standard certainly.
