Another arguement is like that of Jean Aule- their technology was
mindful not materialistic. They may have been more focused on
technologies that use no materials, such as Ayur Veda, hypnosis, NLP,
reiki, etc.

This is obviously some strange usage of the word "technology" that I
hadn't previously been aware of.

1.
a. The application of science, especially to industrial or
commercial objectives.

NLP is science. Hypnosis is science. It is the result of scientific
testing. Ayur Veda is a science, being the official medical system of
India and something you may obtain a degree in, even in America.

b. The scientific method and material used to achieve a
commercial or industrial objective.

This is what they have been doing to determine whether these non-
materialistic sciences are effective or not. They are.

2. Electronic or digital products and systems considered as a group:
a store specializing in office technology.

That definition doesn't apply.

3. Anthropology. The body of knowledge available to a society that is
of use in fashioning implements, practicing manual arts and skills, and
extracting or collecting materials.

Neither does this one.
