Of course it all goes on forever probably
there are always people who exist to be
contentious and in a state of war. Other
reaonable people simply leave, and the
remainder fester and breed true.

There are two solutions:

1/ Intermarriage; a method well known in
Medieval times, used to combine warring
provinces into a nation states. Of course it
beggars all belief that one will see Hasidic
Jews intermarrying with Muslim extremists and
in the process merging Yahweh with Allah.
Still, we dream on.

2/ Destruction of the contentious points.
This would be more likely, because all it
would take is the burying of several H-nukes
far beneath the Jerusalem (an other) tells,
and the simultaneous detonations of these
would create depressions in the ground which
could then be flooded by the Mediterranian.
No more sacred rubble and no more bull***.

There is another method (mine) which would
involve adjusting the fercundity of these
animals by compromising gamete fusion, with
genetically engineered viruses, tranmitted by
especially bred mosquitoes (or sand fleas, or
sacred-scroll silverfish et al), but
whenever I suggest this most reasonable peace
inducement I am set upon by virulent and
malignant troll who infest this and other
(expecially SHM) newsgroups, and I stagger
therefrom with my ankles severly bitten.
