I dug this up on my allotment in West London. Could it be a stone age
tool? Any ideas? I was digging almost three feet down. It just doesn't
look like your average bit of flint.

my complements to you on the photos, very well done.
my first reaction is to question the context in which it was recovered
(issues tom mcD already addressed). personally, i see no reworking of the
lateral margins, no prepared platform, and no shatter. but like tom, i do
not know the material. given what i can see from the photos, it may be a
reduction stage flake, but without any context or knowledge of the local
area, i cannot commit to providing you with that assertation. my second
reaction is that you probably have an ecofact, but then again without a
knowledge of the local context...
if you are able to garner any information from a local archaeologist, we
would thuroughly enjoy hearing about it.
