Recovery from a "megadrought" 100,000 years ago precipitated the
exodus of ancient humans from tropical Africa to Europe and Asia,
according to a UA researcher.
Analysis of soil samples extracted from below the bottom of the 2,000-
foot-deep Lake Malawi in Africa shows the area believed to the cradle
of anatomically modern humans depicts an area hit hard by drought,
said Andy Cohen, University of Arizona geology professor.
It is always good to have an explanation for something that needs no explanation.
Why would there be a need to explain Homo Sapiens emigration at a particular time when there is no need to invoke any reason to explain why so many primates both human and non-human left. Orangs and gibbons left. Every Homo since Erectus left. (I like saying it that way.) So why does anyone feel there is a need to come up with a reason for HSapiens leaving?
