May I suggest a visit to some other newsgroups, specifically
alt.history.british, soc.genealogy.medieval, soc.history.medieval and
others "multiposted" from these to see that David follows a pattern.
Another David, who does his act from the cited ngs and others, is
seeking to become famous as the troll of all trolls. A man who has
been thrown out of several groups, as apparently has David, and who
has a collection of canned "posts" that he inserts from time to time
in highly irrelevant ngs.

David is a symptom of the Internet, the class clown with a deaf and
blind teacher.
